Abstract: In a society growing increasingly reliant on technology that improves by the day, the importance to study the effectiveness of use of phone health tracking devices is pertinent. In order to investigate the association between general health and phone app tracking use, 4016 individuals from a NESARC sample from ages 33-42 self-reported data was studied. It was determined that while there is a significant association between app use and increased general health, this association was only marginally caused by app use, and likely is part of a larger pictures with more variables like socioeconomic status, access to healthcare, and more.
